About Us

Father’s heart in the heart of the city

We are a vibrant, non-denominational, multicultural fellowship located in the very heart of the city of New Orleans. In the 5 years before the storm, we restored a beautiful historic building from the ruins of abandonment. At the same time, the Lord built our spiritual foundation on repentance and purifying our hearts. The testing of our faith was producing patient endurance for the Father’s process of restoration.
Above all, Jesus loves people! We asked the Lord to make us His habitation and dwelling place. He did.
He has made us a powerhouse of transformation!

Father prepared us for the storm

During hurricane Katrina, we obeyed the mayor’s evacuation order.
The congregation left the city and scattered to family and friends and hotels in distant cities.
We watched as the television cameras showed storm-wrecked houses, people crying for help, and water surging through the levees. We were thankful that we had a strong foundation in prayer and intercession as our church was birthed out of prayer. We interceded for God to spare the city. Weeks later a caravan of church members drove back to the storm-devastated city in September of 2005. We found ruins all around our homes. Then as we turned the corner – we saw our ministry building – standing strong and shining like a beautiful amber jewel because of His abiding presence.
No water had entered the building and when we opened the door everything was just as we left it.

“Church in the Hood”

People on the streets call us, “The Church in the Hood.”
While displaced in other cities, we heard stories of looting in our neighborhood. Neighbors reported seeing an “armed guard” standing on our building’s galleries.
One close neighbor said he had to shoot his gun to scare away looters from his house. Then he turned and said, “Of course you didn’t have that problem because you hired an armed guard.” We told him that we did not hire an armed guard. He said, “Come on! People saw him. The word was all over the “Hood,” “Don’t go near that place – there’s a huge guy there with all kinds of weapons!”
The truth is we did not hire a guard and there was no national guard in the area at that time. Our church was divinely and supernaturally protected from the looters and the intruders by the mighty arm of the Lord!

A House of Prayer and Deliverance

The Lord has given us passion and strategic assignment for prayer.
There are intercession teams, hurricane prayer teams, and warfare prayer teams for those who want to be trained and serve in this important ministry.
We regularly minister in deliverance during times of individual prayer at the altar.
